Canada is hiring Filipino Teachers
Both public and private sector teachers are "underpaid," and many are searching for new job prospects abroad. Aside from improving their abilities, seeking better prospects, and needing fewer paperwork, the poor pay in the Philippines is a major reason why many Filipino teachers go for job abroad.
Canada will need about a million workers in the next five years to make up for a severe labor shortage caused by declining birth rates, an increase in young people moving to large cities in search of high-paying jobs in the financial, communication, and service sectors, and a decline in skilled labor for other economic sectors over the past few decades as mentioned in the news article.
Many Canadian provinces, including Ontario, Quebec, and Alberta, where thousands of Filipino immigrants have relocated since 2004 in the oil-rich region, have signed bilateral labor agreements with the Philippines.
The hiring of temporary foreign workers by several Canadian provinces is authorized by Ottawa until 2024, and the English-speaking Filipinos have a distinct edge when applying for these positions.
