DepEd National Learning Camp Narrative Report

National learning camp narrative report

I. Introduction

The Department of Education (DepEd) plans to launch the first-ever National Learning Camp (NLC) on July 24 in an effort to close learning gaps. The NLC’s “two-fold purpose” is to encourage teachers in becoming more effective educators and to help improve learning outcomes. It will take place from August 25 to August 25, spanning three to five weeks.

The NLC is a “voluntary program,” according to DepEd, and it will be introduced gradually for both teachers and students. English, science, and mathematics (ESM) will be the main areas of attention for students in Grades 7 and 8 during the NLC’s trial year.
